In the update history I see that there was a Realtek update on March 24. My computer is an HP ProBook 450 G6 with Windows 10 Pro Version 1903. It's possible that only one of these settings needs to be unchecked, but I can't take the time to test one at a time. Uncheck "Allow hardware acceleration of audio with this device" and "Enable audio enhancements." In Device properties click Additional device properties. It apparently does not work for a similar problem on a ZBook, or on other ProBook models. However, this solution might be specific to the ProBook 450 G6. Update 5/2/20: This has been working for a month now, through many Zoom meetings, and other people have said that it worked for them. It seems to be working okay now (based on one meeting). I had the same problem with the microphone and speakers in Zoom. Wanted to try and replicate that result for longer.Īny thoughts would be very much appreciated. Last week I had tested with a headset in and had gone 15 minutes without experiencing any issues. I have tested this with two different headsets. I have an additional problem today, headset is not working, the laptop is responding to the jack by switching from "Speakers Realtek(R) Audio" to "Headphone Realtek(R) Audio", however the sound continues to come through the laptop speakers. The problem has occurred at least once that we know of while Zoom was not in operation. Windows is fully updated, HP Support updates are current, HP Audio assistant has been run and has found no problems. All sound, incoming and outgoing, ceases to work until the two buttons are pressed to re-enable sound and microphone. The F5 and F8 buttons light up, there is no question what is happening. Have run into a significant problem, the laptop's speaker and microphone both disable on there own, without direct input from user. I've been trying to get Zoom to work on this laptop, for the same reason everyone else is using Zoom right now. This happens even if I don't have problems buffering it in real time. When finishing a track I always feel so frustrated because everything gets so slow that kills my inspiration. The more a project is full the more waiting time. There's also another problem I notice many times: the loading times when adding/deleting plugins. Sincerely I'd expect to wait for an offline render at most for the full track length time and hopefully even less (even if HQ for all plugins and disable max poly are set to off, and no external plugins are used). Why then I can record it in Edison in real time? a snare track in which there's only a sample playing through an EQ? But this is definitely related to the quantity of plugins/samples/automations I have (which is huge), but why also if I render e.g. I'm aware that the higher the PPQ the longer the rendering. Sometimes rendering a track it takes something like 20 minutes. Even if the track is 60% silence.Īnd the more a project is almost finished (so full of stuff) the longer the rendering. So often I end up with projects in which a single mixer track export is so slow. This is something that struggles me many times.
